How You Can Help

Helmut Remschimdt Research Seminar (HRRS)

The Helmut Remschmidt Research Seminars are organised in the region of the upcoming IACAPAP Congress every two years. Its purpose is to inspire young colleagues, particularly those from low-income countries, to engage in research.

The mentors are experienced IACAPAP clinicians and scientists.

Your contribution will be able to support the training initiatives for early research career participants.

Donald J Cohen Fellowship Program (DJCFP)

The Donald J. Cohen Fellowship is a highly sought-after training program for young scholars, future leaders in the field held during IACAPAP Congresses. The Fellowship programme is led by DJFP coordinators and includes mentors from senior clinicians worldwide.

Your contribution will provide participants access to the Fellowship by covering subsidising travels.

Henrikje Klasen iCAMH Training

Preceptorship programmes are tailored with clear and specific learning objectives, targeted at participants with a limited timeframe to participate in an education program.

The program structure includes lectures by leading international institutions and experts, allowing for one-on-one interactions and sharing best practices. Participation will be limited to maximise interaction between participants and faculty.

Individual consultations are welcome to identify the costs and management of the preceptorship programme, to invite and support up to 30 participants. We can work with you to design the programme framework or introduce content into a particular region of your preference for a specific learning objective.

IACAPAP e-Textbook

The e-textbook aimed to place a free, up-to-date, evidence-based textbook "in the palm of every CAMH professional around the world".

The book has an open structure; new chapters to deal with important clinical or service areas are added to the updated yearly editions resulting in a book that is an alive and evolving object that has become increasingly comprehensive over time.

In 2014, the first translations were started, and the book now boasts ten languages, including English, Chinese, Spanish, and Russian. At the beginning of 2019, it achieved the milestone of half a million page views by professionals from more than 100 countries.

We seek your support, and the funding will contribute towards the work and improve its reach through the development of a translation service, editorial support and a PowerPoint slide for teaching.

IACAPAP ArXiv

IACAPAP ArXiV is a resource that enables the child and adolescent mental health professionals to upload and share clinical or research documents in their language. These documents are made freely available to all internet users.

The quality of the articles is assured by formal approval provided either by the national child and adolescent mental health organisation to which the authors belong or by IACAPAP.

Your support will continue to make this accredited content available for the CAMH community and allow peer-to-peer sharing.

IACAPAP Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)

This course is designed to meet the basic educational needs of people interested in child and adolescent mental health, such as nurses, community health workers, teachers, general practitioners, medical students, adult psychiatrists and parents.

The course is basic, and each session comprises a 20-minute video with six translations presented by an international expert. The objective of the IACAPAP MOOC is to support organisations and individuals devoted to promoting the mental health of children and adolescents.

Contributions to IACAPAP will help us in our effort to develop further the MOOC and funding to utilise more sophisticated online platforms with multiple language options to increase global reach.

IACAPAP YouTube Channel

IACAPAP has developed a video channel on YouTube in which important speeches and talks are uploaded and available freely.

Some materials are sourced from the IACAPAP eTextbook, while others are from conferences like the Prague World Congress in 2018.

We seek your support to produce video materials for teaching and advocating for child and adolescent mental health.
